Council-certified Indoor Environmentalist Consultancy Services

ROSE Environmental Limited currently has a Council-certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE) on staff, accredited by the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC). The CIE provides expertise in the fundamental principles of indoor environmental quality (IEQ), that also includes aspects in asbestos, HVAC, building science, chemicals, mold and microbial contamination. Indoor environmental quality (IEQ) refers to the quality of a building’s environment (air quality, thermal comfort and ventilation conditions, lighting, ergonomics, damp indoor conditions) in relation to the health and wellbeing of those who occupy space within it. Addressing IEQ conditions can increase overall occupant comfort level, improve the quality of life, reduce stress and prevent injuries, minimize the risk for acute and chronic health effects, reduce absenteeism and sick days and hence increase worker productivity, improve the resale values of buildings and reduce the liability for building owners and employers, as applicable. Good indoor air quality practices can also lead to improved building and facility maintenance performance, and hence may result to some reduced facility operating costs. Services currently offered at ROSE Environmental Limited, supported by the CIE, includes:

  • Asbestos – Risk Assessments, air and bulk material sampling.
  • Routine/Baseline/Investigative indoor environmental quality services.
  • Development of Mold Remediation Plans and Procedures.
  • Pre- and post-remediation testing and clearance sampling following mold remediation projects.
  • Biological microbial assessments – building, HVAC systems.
  • Mold and Bacteria sampling and assessments – air, surfaces, water, bulk materials as applicable.
  • Allergens sampling and assessment.
  • Indoor lighting and sound level surveys.

We have also partnered with Galson Laboratories in New York, U.S.A., and EM Lab P&K Laboratories in Florida, U.S.A. to conduct AIHA-accredited sample analyses on our samples collected. We have also partnered with Mycometer, Inc., to provide the service of rapid onsite mold and bacteria sampling and analyses, as applicable.
